Kloof corner ridge is a fantastic trail run for anyone living in the town area looking to go for a little burn after work. You can make it as long or short as you like given that it’s not a loop trail.
Park at the point indicated on the map below. There is no entry fee to get onto the mountain, which is great. Head up onto the trail next to the big green gate, it’s a pretty steep start to the run but that’s great for anyone who is looking to do a bit of hill work. Once you get to the top you’ll see the trig beacon on your right.
This is a fantastic spot to chill just before sunset as you can see Camps bay, the CBD and the sunset over the ocean (its probably best to watch the sunset on your way back as it will get dark pretty quickly). Head left along the contour path and run for as long as you like. Just remember however far you run you have to run back. It’s a great trail for people looking for good technical running and an awesome view of the city.
